AGE & AVAILABILITY
Residential courses are open to DofE candidates aged 17+. Due to room allocations, availability is dependent on age and gender mix.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
Our residential surf courses include four nights of self-catered accommodation in shared rooms at our Beach House in Polzeath, four structured surf lessons, and full surf kit hire throughout your stay.
Please note: food and transport to and from the Beach House are not included.
BEACHFRONT ACCOMMODATION
The Beach House is located directly on Polzeath Beach, right next to Surf’s Up Surf School. The house features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area, complete with TV and WiFi.
STRUCTURED DofE-FOCUSED ACTIVITIES
Days and evenings are organised around shared group activities designed to meet the DofE Gold Residential aims. These include:
- Group surf lessons
- Gaining experience from an instructor’s perspective by shadowing lessons
- Actively contributing to the local environment through a group beach clean
- Working in teams to plan and prepare a communal evening meal
